Electrical Plant Equipment Technician

Primary Function:

  • Must be proficient in the use of all hand and electrical/electronic analytical tools. Knowledgeable of plumbing codes and applications, HVAC, Compressed Air/Gas installations and basic machine shop skills.
  • Performs maintenance, repair and calibration on electronic equipment, such as control systems of numerically controlled machines, other controlling or recording equipment.
  • Must have in depth knowledge of PLC control systems and be proficient in reading and writing ladder logic schematics and proficient at using PLC programs such as R.S. Logic.
  • Must be capable of taking relay logic and timer control circuits and convert into a PLC control system.
  • Must be capable of documentation of electrical panels and circuits.
  • Must have in depth knowledge and understanding of machine control functions and logic.
  • Must be proficient in running conduit, pulling wire and connecting 208 V and 480V equipment.
  • Must be capable of engineering power runs from electrical panel to the machinery.
  • Must possess understanding of pneumatic controls.
  • Periodically checks equipment performance to assure conformance to required standards.
  • Must be able to fabricate parts from sketches, blueprints, broken or worn parts.
  • Must have complete knowledge of all building systems and equipment (including production equipment).
  • Must be capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Must be capable of troubleshooting and repairing production and facilities equipment.
  • Must be capable of estimating materials and specification of same for the purpose of initiating a purchase request.
  • May be required to assist in the preparation and/or instruction of training sessions.
  • Must be able to work with employees of a lower classification as assigned by supervisor
  • Responsible for following all safety regulations including but not limited to: wearing goggles face shield, proper clothing, etc.
  • Any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
  • Assist with relief for breaks and lunches

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma
  • Three (3) years of advance training or equivalent that may be acquired from five (5) years or more years experience in various trades or in plant training in order to learn the duties and techniques involved and attain performance levels.
  • Three (3) up to five (5) or more years of experience in various trades of in plant training in this job for the same period.

Warehouse Supervisor

Summary

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in warehousing, shipping and receiving activities, including but not limited to, verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment by performing the following duties, receiving items and putting into storage accurately.

Primary Functions:

  • Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
  • Directs movement and storage of Raw Materials and Finished Goods into warehouse for storage as required to get RM to production machines on a timely, basis and to properly stage FG for ease of shipment.
  • Maintains neat, safe and organized warehouse(s).
  • Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
  • Determines space requirements and position of shipment in trucks and lays out position of shipment.
  • Determines routing and legal load limits of trucks, according to established schedules and weight limits of states.
  • Inspects loading/unloading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, and seals loaded truck doors.
  • Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair. Maintains vehicle maintenance report.
  • Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
  • Issues written and oral instructions. Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates. Maintains harmony among workers and resolves issues. Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates. Adjusts errors and complaints.
  • Directly supervises 12 to 15 employees in Warehouse(s)/Shipping & Receiving departments.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and training that provide the required knowledge, skill and ability.
  • Previous Supervisory experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of shipping and warehouse procedures and regulations, at least three years experience as a warehouse team member at the facility.
  • PC Skills in various software applications, especially Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Proficient math skills and attention to detail.
  • Must possess strong written and oral communication skills

Quality Control Lead

Training and support of all quality inspectors; provides administrative support to Quality Department.

Primary Function:

  • Creation of all Start of Packs
  • Maintenance of Customer and Internal specifications
  • Oversight of the Calibration program
  • Preparation of daily micro release reports for both raw materials and finished products
  • Preparation of customer documentation – COAs, AQL reports, sample submission forms, etc.
  • Maintenance of Odor standard inventory
  • Provide support for the Respirator Program
  • Minimum high school diploma or related experience

Primary Function:

• Performs incoming material audits, line inspections and finished product inspections to assure all products and materials meet or exceed internal and external customer specifications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Inspects and approves labels, boxes, code dates and packaging materials.
  • Pulls samples and labeling specifically including Aseptic sampling for micro analysis and retains samples
  • Approves and releases product process including equipment and materials
  • Places non-conforming materials and products on hold
  • Performs Quality control checks – including:
    • Quality control check list
    • Weight checks
    • Pressure/Compression checks
    • TAMU scale
    • Package integrity
    • Packaging attributes (registration, silver)
    • Case counts
  • Performs AQL inspection
  • Conducts Sensory evaluation (color, appearance, and odor)
  • Provides quality instructions to operators
  • Maintains Out of Spec log sheets
  • Assures compliance with the following Quality policies:
    • Quality Control Procedure
    • Non-conforming Materials Procedure
    • Over the counter Procedures
    • Reclaiming Micro Sensitive Product
    • GMP Policy
    • Aseptic Sampling
    • Equipment Idle Time Policy

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

  • Understand what areas of the machine or work area are no touch areas
  • Makes minor machine adjustments including:
    • Starts/Stops Line
    • Adjusts silver
    • Adjusts registration
    • Adjusts code date on case sealers and casepackers
  • Reworks non-conforming products
  • Reclaims products and materials as practical
  • Provides machine relief as available
  • Assist with housekeeping
